Our recommendations are meant as general guidelines — feel free to experiment with different combinations of time, brightness, and distance to find what works best for you.For skin treatments, use medium brightness (40–60%) and position the panel about 5–10 cm (2–4 inches) away. 10–20 minutes per day is usually enough.For pain relief or sore muscles, use high brightness with a distance of 5–35 cm (2–14 inches). Sessions can last up to 20 minutes depending on the settings.For overall wellness, choose medium to high brightness and place the panel 5–35 cm (2–14 inches) away. Sessions can last up to 30 minutes, depending on your comfort.For passive use, such as while working or exercising, use medium to high brightness with a minimum distance of 35 cm (14 inches). Duration is flexible based on your needs.

You can also activate the pulsed light mode, which delivers light in bursts. This is designed to stimulate cells more precisely and target deeper tissue layers.Important: Don’t overdo it. Multiple daily sessions at maximum intensity may reduce the benefits.

We selected the 660nm, 810nm, and 850nm wavelengths for our red light panel because each offers unique, scientifically supported benefits across different depths of the body.

Since the Koanna® Luma1000™ combines multiple wavelengths, irradiance may vary depending on distance and where it’s measured. For that reason, the values shown below reflect peak readings from testing.

You can set up the Luma1000™ on the floor using the built-in stand or mount it on a door or wall with the included hanging kit. Simply unfold the stand or use the ratchet system to hang the panel at your desired height.

However, if you feel any discomfort or sensitivity to light, wearing goggles can make the experience more comfortable. Especially when using pulsed (flashing) mode then using the goggles may be convenient.
